Disposable email checker: what it does and how to use it

By , co-founder of Sales.co

Updated November 7, 2026. Our tool page and the pages cited here were read that day.

The free Sales.co disposable email checker tests one address or up to 50,000 at once against 10,143 known throwaway domains such as Mailinator and YOPmail. It runs in your browser with no signup, and it gives you a CSV with the disposable and invalid addresses removed.

This page is for marketers, founders and salespeople who are about to send to a list they did not build themselves. Our own B2B contacts are clean: none of 159,576 sampled addresses was disposable (data through November 5, 2026), so the risk sits in form-built lists. The checker itself is here, free. If you would rather start from a list that has been counted for this, our business email lists are $295 one time.

What the checker does

It takes the part of each address after the @ and compares it with a list of 10,143 disposable domains, subdomains included. Each address comes back labeled disposable, free mail, business or other, or invalid. The domain list is downloaded to your browser and the matching runs there, so the list you paste is not uploaded. There is nothing to sign up for.

How to check a list in four steps

  1. Copy the address column from your spreadsheet, or one address from an email. Commas and line breaks both work.
  2. Open the checker and paste them in. Up to 50,000 per run.
  3. Press Check addresses. Read the count line first, then look at the rows marked disposable.
  4. Press Download clean CSV and send from that file. You are done when the CSV has no disposable or invalid rows.

When to run it

Run it on any list that came from a form: a lead magnet, a webinar signup, a free trial, a gated download. People use a throwaway address there to get the file without giving a real one, so a later send goes nowhere. Run it again after you merge two lists, because a domain that was clean in one export can show up in the other. For a deliverability check on the sending side, see the email spam checker.

How common are disposable addresses in B2B contacts?

We ran the same 10,143-domain list against a random sample of 200,000 of 4,000,550 records in the Sales.co contact database. Of 159,576 unique addresses on 119,068 domains, none was disposable (data through November 5, 2026). That is the rate for company-domain prospecting data. A list built from a signup form is a different thing, which is the reason to check it.

What it costs

The checker is free. The paid options sit on either side of it: a $295 industry list if you need contacts, or the done-for-you service from $2,000 a month for up to 10,000 emails if you want us to build, clean and send.

FAQ

Is the disposable email checker free?

Yes. It is free with no signup and runs in your browser, so the addresses you paste are not sent or stored.

How many addresses can I check at once?

Up to 50,000, one per line or separated by commas. Exact duplicates are removed and you can download a CSV without the disposable and invalid ones.

How many disposable domains does it know?

10,143, a public-domain blocklist copied November 5, 2026. A very new throwaway domain comes back as business or other until the list catches it.

How many B2B contact addresses are disposable?

None of 159,576 unique addresses in a random 200,000-record sample of the Sales.co contact database, counted November 5, 2026.
